Mafia in Discord
The classic game of hidden roles. Each match takes place in a voice channel — the bot acts as host. 13 roles, casual and ranked matches.
In a voice channel
Start the Echo activity in a voice channel and choose Mafia. The bot assigns roles and runs the match: it mutes players at night and announces the start of the day.
Secret roles
Each player knows only their own role; the mafia also know their accomplices. Everything else is worked out through discussion and voting.
Casual and ranked matches
Matches can be played unranked or count toward the global rating — ELO system, ranks from Bronze to Legend and seasonal champions.
13 roles
At night, together with accomplices, picks a victim. The goal — equal the townsfolk in numbers.
Head of the mafia. The sheriff’s check shows him as “town” — harder to pin down.
No night abilities. Their weapons are logic, observation and a voice at the day council.
Each night checks one player: mafia or not. The main threat to the blacks.
At night heals one player — saving them from the mafia’s or maniac’s shot.
Covers a chosen player: if they’re attacked, he takes the hit himself.
At night blocks a player — their ability won’t work that night.
Has a couple of shots and can gun down a suspect — but a miss on your own is possible too.
Contacts the world of the dead and draws valuable info from the fallen.
Covers an accomplice — masks their role and steers them away from voting.
A loner. Kills on his own at night. Wins by being the last one alive.
By day an ordinary townsperson, by night transforms and kills, muddling everything.
Their goal is inverted: to win is to get yourself voted out.
How a game goes
The town sleeps. The mafia picks a victim, the sheriff checks, the doctor heals, the maniac kills — all in secret.
Everyone wakes and learns who died. The discussion begins: who’s suspicious, who to trust.
The town decides who to banish. The one with the most votes leaves the game — and reveals their role.
The town wins (all mafia cleared), the mafia (equal numbers) or a loner (last standing).
Ranked matches
Ranked match results count toward the global leaderboard and the season standings.
