/temprole gives a role for a set time. Pick a member, a role and a duration from 1 minute to 365 days, for example 7d. The bot removes the role on its own and tells you when in its reply. The command is for people with the “Manage Roles” permission and only gives roles below your highest one.
Tickets open even if their category was deleted. When the ticket category was deleted in Discord, no ticket on the server could open. Now the bot opens the ticket in the category of the panel's channel, or with no category if that one is gone too. You can pick a new category in the ticket panel settings.
Three mistakes now mean a pause, not a lock. Before, the third wrong cloud password in a row locked the account at once, and only the security team could restore access. Now three mistakes close sign-in for 10 minutes. The screen shows when you can try again and has a “Recover code” button: a new code arrives at the email from your Discord account.
Your number in Echo. The profile header now shows your number next to your username, for example “ID 42”. Everyone Echo knows got a number in the order they first appeared: on the site, in chat or in a voice channel on a server with the bot. The number never changes. Click it to copy.
Easier sign-in. To fill in a server form or take a server test, signing in with Discord is enough. These pages no longer ask for the cloud password.
Back to the panel after adding the bot, panel without 2FA
After adding the bot, the server panel opens. Discord used to leave you on its own page after adding the bot, and it was unclear where to set it up. Now Discord takes you straight to this server's panel on the website. If you are not signed in, the sign-in page opens first. This works for the Add button on the website and for the Add App button in the bot's Discord profile.
The panel opens without Discord two-factor authentication. The panel and the setup AI assistant used to require 2FA on your Discord account. 2FA is no longer needed: the website asks for your cloud password code at every sign-in.
Welcome message after adding the bot
The bot messages whoever added it. The bot used to stay silent after being added, and it was unclear where to set it up. Now it sends a direct message with links to this server's panel, the setup AI assistant, support, ideas and bug reports.
Survey after removing the bot
A message after removal. If Echo is removed from a server, the person who added it gets a short direct message with a link to bring the bot back.
Why you left. The message has a "Tell us why" button. It opens a form where you can pick reasons from a list and write what we should fix. The Echo team reads every answer.
Auto-replies moved from the developer portal to the panel. They are now the Auto-replies item in the Channels block. Old portal links lead to the new page.
Auto-replies work without a custom bot. Auto-replies to words in chat used to work only with a connected custom bot. Now, if there is no custom bot, Echo replies. If a custom bot is connected, it replies, as before.
Server pages in the monitoring now have an online chart. It shows the average and peak number of members online for each day, and separately people in voice channels. The bot measures online every 15 minutes. History is collected from October 27; the chart appears once 3 days of data are in.
An answer from a ticket can be posted to a public forum. A staff member clicks "Add to Q&A" in the ticket, edits the prefilled question and answer, and the bot publishes a post in the server forum. Every member can then see the answer, not only the ticket author.
New tab in the Channels block. Starting November 16, Discord gives every Discovery server a web page and may show summaries of discussions from public channels on it. From mid-December, messages from public channels will start appearing in web search. A public channel is one that @everyone can see. The tab shows whether your server is in Discovery and lists these channels.
The "Add to server" link asks for Administrator. It used to request only selected permissions, so the bot could not see private channels. For example, a voting in a channel closed to everyone except a few roles did not open. Now the link asks for Administrator and all other permissions. If you don't want to give some of them, untick them on the Discord screen when adding the bot.
Votings in a private channel. If the bot cannot access the voting channel, a scheduled opening retries once a minute for 6 hours. Each attempt used to be logged as an error. Now the bot records the refusal once every 6 hours and keeps retrying: as soon as the channel is opened to the bot, the voting opens. The skip reason is still shown in the server panel, in the votings section: "Discord rejected the message".
